Welcome to Renhold Pre-School

Renhold Primary School offers on-site pre-school provision for children aged 3–4, preparing them for a smooth transition into full-time education in our Reception Class.

At Renhold Pre-School, our priority is to ensure every child feels safe, happy, and valued in their learning environment. We aim to help children grow into confident, resilient, and independent young learners.

Our Approach

We provide a wide range of learning experiences that encourage curiosity, enthusiasm, and engagement.

Children have access to high-quality resources and opportunities covering all areas of the Early Years Curriculum, following statutory DfE guidance and assessment requirements.

Learning Through Play

We believe that young children learn best through play. Our activities are designed to:

  • Inspire creativity and imagination
  • Build communication and social skills
  • Encourage problem-solving and independence
  • Develop a love of learning that lasts a lifetime
  • Children enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor play, with rich experiences every day.

Enrichment Activities

Each week, children use the school hall for activities such as:

  • Movement and Music
  • Singing and Sign

They also join in with Collective Worship and whole-school events where appropriate.
Every year, our Pre-School children work with the Reception Class to perform a wonderful Christmas production for parents and family.

Working Together with Families

We value strong relationships between parents, children, and teachers. Your involvement is an important part of our community, and we welcome your contributions to school life.

Why Choose Renhold Pre-School?

Our Pre-School is a popular choice for families both in the village and beyond. We provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can:

  • Develop early skills in mark making and pre-reading
  • Build social and emotional confidence
  • Explore, discover, and grow through play

Join Us

Interested in a place for your child? It’s easy to get started:

  • Contact our Pre-School Administrator, Amanda Weatherley, on 01234 771724
  • Email: office@renhold.beds.sch.uk

Please note that attending our Pre-School does not guarantee a Reception Class place at Renhold Primary. However, many families choose to continue here for the continuity, familiar staff, and lasting friendships their children enjoy.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child soon.

More about our Curriculum

  • Pre-School Curriculum

In Pre-school, we build our curriculum around our children's interests and fascinations.

Our practitioners ensure that our children receive a rich yet broad experience, tailoring their learning to follow their own interests and carefully planning experiences that can engage, develop, excite and nurture life long learners.
