Breakfast/After School Club and Activity Clubs

At Renhold Primary School we are lucky to be able to offer a rich and varied selection of after school clubs and activities. Some are run by our own staff and parents as well as many that are offered by outside professionals so ensuring strong links within the local community. We are open from 8.00 am to 5.30pm.

We offer a high quality Breakfast and After School Club (Care Club) for children that attend our school and Pre-School.

We work on a 1:8 ratio; unfortunately due to pressure of numbers we now require that all children are pre-booked into our clubs.  This can be done by completing a pre-booking form (available below or from the office) and for ad-hoc bookings you can ring the school office; although we cannot guarantee that there will be places available at short notice. There is a one-off £25 registration fee that enables your child to register with all of our extended services clubs including breakfast and after school club and all sports, cooking and extra curricular clubs.   Please complete the registration form below.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club starts at 8.00am.  Children can come at 8.00am and have breakfast with us, and take part in a variety of activities which are supervised until it is time to line up on the playground at 8.50am.  Alternatively they can just come into school at 8.30am and join in activities during that time.  Breakfast is varied, healthy and nutritious, including crumpets, muffins, yoghurts, fruit and fruit juice, cereals, toast and cereal bars.

After School Club

Any child can join in After School Club, which provides a range of activities suitable for all age groups.  This is open from 3.30 pm till 5.30 pm.  Again, pre-booking and payment is essential so that we can be sure to maintain our staff-pupil ratios.

We have use of the school hall, the playgrounds and the field at the back of the school.

We offer a snack which is based on our schools healthy eating policy. We encourage and embrace constructive comments from parents/carers and will endeavour to improve our service wherever we can.

We welcome parent helpers. If you would like to spend an evening with us please collect a volunteer pack from the office.

If you have a hobby or interest that you feel the children may enjoy please contact us.

The term Early Help is used to describe the process of taking action early and as soon as possible to tackle problems emerging for children, young people and their families. Effective help can occur at any point in a child or young person's life. The Early Help team at Bedford Borough have services in the following areas:

  • Family Focus Service
  • Inclusion Support Team
  • Education Welfare Service
  • Education Support for 14 - 19
  • Family Information Service
  • Early Years Team

  • Triple P Positive Parenting Programme

We have a team of experienced staff who can guide you through the Early help process. Our team is led by our Wellbeing Leader, Mrs Andrea Wilkinson. She is currently training in Therapeutic Based Play. Two members of staff have received training using the Wellbeing Toolkit, which provides basic support in a variety of common issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, anxiety and anger management.
