Pre-School

This week the children in Pre-school have been learning all about whales, making snail trails, potato printing and making cards for Mr Burnap.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Going outside!”  “Playing with the zoo animals!”

Reception

This week the children in Reception Class have been learning how to count money, making Elmer the Elephant pictures and working on their phonics.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Counting money!” “Drawing Elmer!”

Class 1

This week the children in Class 1 have been learning about the seaside, learning more about the Rainbow Fish story, reading The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch and learning how to double numbers in maths.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Maths!” “Reading The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch!”

Class 2

This week the children in Class 2 have been learning how to use column addition and number lines in maths and writing what they think happens next in the book Who Stole Emily Brown’s Rabbit.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

 “Learning about column addition”

Class 3

This week the children in Class 3 have been practising their maypole dance for the Summer Fayre, learning more about their topic ‘Healthy Me’, writing poems and learning about time.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Painting portraits!” “Practising the maypole dance!”

Class 4

This week the children in Class 4 have been playing rounders in PE, practising their maypole dance for the Summer Fayre with Class 3 and learning about co-ordinates in maths.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were…

 

“Rounders!” “Learning co-ordinates!”

Class 5

This week the children in Class 5 went to the County Cricket finals in Dunstable having won the East Beds tournament, made a roller coaster poster and a 3D theme park, and planned their own theme park operation using a £500,000 budget.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Cricket tournament!”  “Doing all about theme parks!”

Class 6

This week the children in Class 6 have been on their residential trip to Kingswood in Stafford. Before they went they learnt all about facing their fears and one pupil who didn’t go along tried out their new secondary school ready for September. It sounds like they really enjoyed it.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

Spotlight on Assembly! 
On Friday morning, we welcomed special visitors from the church. They talked to us about the most famous verse in the Bible using an interactive slideshow challenge to get us involved.  We had to guess which words matched the pictures.
