Pre-School

This week the children in Pre-school have been looking after the babies in the baby clinic, making skeleton hands, doing some drawing and finishing the week with a episode of ‘Bing’.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Skeleton hands!”  “Baby Clinic!”

Reception

This week the children in Reception Class have been learning all about height, reading and learning about ‘The Creation’ Bible story, using their knowledge of colours to make green and purple cupcakes and using the words ‘I’ ‘like’ and ‘my’ to make sentences about them.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Green and purple cupcakes!” “Bible Story!”

Class 1

This week the children in Class 1 have been reading the book Beegu in literacy and wrote an amazing character profile about her using lots of adjectives.

 

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Clay models!” “Adjectives!”

Class 2

This week the children in Class 2 have been testing different papers in science with Miss Larham, writing all about Beegu and writing numbers in word form.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

 “Science!”  “Beegu!”

Class 3

This week the children in Class 3 have been watching 101 Dalmatians and learning about Cruella de Vil, working on ascending and descending numbers in maths and writing a biography all about their friends or family.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Story!” “Computing!”

Class 4

This week the children in Class 4 have been rounding to the nearest 10s, 100s and 1000s in maths, had a fun lesson with Mrs Gaunt in R.E., wrote up their hero and villain story in their neatest handwriting, and did dance and hockey in P.E.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were…

 

“Rounding!” “Dance!”

Class 5

This week the children in Class 5 have been mixing lemonade, oil, salt and food colouring to make chemical reactions in Science, rounding to the nearest 1,000,000 and adding 4 or more digits, making shapes in D+T and testing which one was strongest, and imagining mythical creatures.

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….

 

“Watching the reaction!” “Shapes!”

Class 6

This week the children in Class 6 have been writing the opening to their own myth or legend, exploring what happens when you put oil and lemonade together and add salt and food colouring, made incredible sketches of Egyptian artefacts and did long division in maths (and might just have cracked it!)

 

The things we found most interesting and exciting this week were….
